1,000 Cranes of Hope for Wilfredo Escobar.

1,000 Cranes of Hope for Wilfredo Escobar.

The ancient Japanese tradition of senbazuru promises that a person who folds 1000 cranes will be granted a wish, such as long life or recovery from illness.

Junior Wilfredo Escobar is battling cancer in a local Boston hospital.  He is making origami paper cranes (he has made 60 so far) and it is his goal to make 1,000 cranes so he may be granted his wish--to be free from cancer.

Please join BHS in our effort to make 1,000 cranes of hope for Wilfredo by Thursday, March 29th.  Our cranes will be strung up in the library and delivered to Alfredo in the hospital.

Please stop by the library, the table in front of the main office, or the tables at lunch and learn how to make a paper crane for Wilfredo.  Once you have finished your crane, please bring it to the library.

BHS and 1,000 Cranes for Wilfredo!
