We will always work at continuing to improve our communication with staff, students, and families, but I wanted to share some of the ways that you can stay on top of what is going on at BHS - and also communicate with us if you need to.
My email is email@example.com and phone number is 781.273.7662 - please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.. All other staff emails and phone numbers can be found through our staff directory.
BHS Principal's Blog and Twitter Account
The Burlington High Principal's Blog and twitter account are the main sources of communication on news from our school. I suggest that you enter your e-mail address into the box at the top of the blog on the right hand side that says get BHS Blog Updates in your e-mail and also sign up for twitter and follow @bhsprincipal. This will give you a daily e-mail and tweets with news and happenings from BHS. You can unsubscribe from these options at any time.
BHS Facebook Page:
Following our school Facebook Page is another great way to stay on top of the happenings at BHS!
Burlington High School ASPEN Family Portal:
We would like to encourage parents to continue to utilize the Aspen Family Portal to follow their child's progress at BHS, as we continue to leverage its functionality. In Aspen parents have access to class schedules and teacher email addresses, homeroom and class attendance, and current class averages. As a reminder, we eliminated interim progress reports last year and now publish end of quarter report cards to the Aspen Portal instead of mailing printed hard copies. This Fall, we are planning on offering a few Parent Tech Nights focused on getting the most out of the Aspen Family Portal. We will share the details of these events as they are scheduled. If you are having trouble accessing the portal or are unsure of your portal account information, please email the Student Information Office at firstname.lastname@example.org.
You can follow BHS department news, club information, and extracurricular news and updates by following one or more of the numerous blogs and web pages of BHS staff.
Finally, please mark your calendar for our annual back to school night on September 17th from 6:30-8:30. This is an important night to meet your son/daughter's teachers, learn about their classroom expectations, and to speak with them about the best ways to establish communication this year. We will also have a short meeting with parents of 9th graders starting at 6:00.
In addition we will have a special community presentation by Ginger Katz beginning at 5:00 before our back to school night.
