From the BHS English Department Blog:

On Saturday, April 26th, Mr. Feinsilver brought a pair of students to compete in the fourth annual MassMouth Stories Live competition, where students from all over the state present stories about a select list of subjects – Think of it like Poetry Out Loud, but for narrative (or, if you’d rather, a contest similar to the wildly successful Moth program that has run nationally for years). Schools are only allowed to send a maximum of 3 students, and over 1,000 students competed statewide.

This was Burlington’s first year in the competition, and we are very excited to announce that both students took first place in their respective grades!
Rosemary Nabukeera won the 1st place prize among all seniors, earning her a $1,000 prize, and Patrick Hoarty tied for first in the juniors competition, and took home $500! Congratulations to both students!

Great job, Rosemary and Patrick!
