Tonight is Burlington High School's annual Open House from 6:30-8:30. Parents and/or guardians will have the opportunity to meet with teachers to discuss any concerns they may have. Administrators will also be available throughout the evening to help answer any questions.
In addition, tonight is Burlington High School's Annual Art Exhibition and Fashion Show:
The opening reception for Burlington High School's 41st Annual Art Exhibition will be held on Thursday, March 20, from 6:30 until 8:30 pm. Hundreds of pieces of work from all art classes will be on display in the high school library and main lobby. The show will be up until the second week of April, but this is the only night that the exhibition will be open to the general public.
Also, the Fashion Design class will be hosting its second annual Fashion Show in the lower library. The runway event starts at 7 pm.
Cambridge Street Gallery, across from the school's cafeteria, will also be open that night. On display will be work from our AP Studio Art students.
At 7:30, the Music Department is presenting a preview of this year's musical, Grease, in the auditorium.
Finally, the raffle drawing of a GoPro camera will take place at 8 pm. The camera has been generously funded by Salem Five Bank, and the printing of the raffle tickets was funded by Donna DeSimone Photography. The raffle is a fundraiser for scholarships for graduating seniors enrolling in art, design, photography and architecture programs in college.
The posters for the event were created by seniors in the Digital Publishing class: Tanaka Chibanda, Michelle Lytje, Jordan Mathieson, Erin Savage and Jeff Turri.
