2013 MaFLA Poster, Essay and Podcast Contest

2013 MaFLA (Massachusetts Foreign Language Association) offers a variety of contests for MaFLA members to do with their students during Foreign Language Week in March: a poster contest, an essay contest and our new PodCast contest.  Each is a fun and engaging activity for classes as well as a way to bring state focus to districts of winning students and teachers.

The THEME for 2013: Collaborate to Promote Languages with a Collective Voice

Mrs. Price was excited to announce Shabina Wigneswaran and Sarah Iler were recognized for their work.  Shabina is a junior in Mrs. Price's French IV class (above) and was the winner of the "Poster of the Year".  Shabina is an accomplished BHS artist and has won numerous awards for her art work at BHS for the past three years.

In addition, Sarah Iler (at left) also got an Honorable Mention on the Poster Contest.

Congratulations to both students on a job well done.  With over 70 posters from across the state, it is indicative of the quality of our students and teachers to have 2 winners from the same class.
