I would like to remind families that (if you haven't done so already) it is strongly recommended that you purchase insurance for your child's iPad. Our recommended insurance provider is Worth Ave. Group. If you choose not to purchase insurance and your iPad is lost, stolen, damaged, etc families are responsible for replacement.
If you purchased a one year insurance policy last year, please make sure you have renewed your policy to extend to this school year.
For those families who have purchased insurance through Worth Ave. please note that the claim process has changed since last year because Worth Ave. now have a repair center open.
Here is the process parents/students should take if a claim needs to be made:
1. Submit simplified Claim Form (families should not complete the online claim form and use the simple version instead created for schools).
2. You will then be contacted by Worth Ave Group, based on what happened to the ipad, how to continue the process.
3. If insured goes to Apple Store first to get a Work Order Authorization, that is OK but it needs to be submitted at the same time as the claim form.
4. If the ipad can be fixed, it will need to be sent to Worth Ave Groups Repair Center. If the ipad needs to be replaced then they will be instructed to do so from Worth Ave Group.
