Matt Swanson Earns Recognition From American Chemical Society

BHS Junior Matt Swanson placed 28th out of 124 participants in the Ashdown Chemistry exam, a regional chemistry exam sponsored by the Northeastern Section of the American Chemical Society given on March 31st. He bested many of the top students from eastern Massachusetts and New Hampshire high schools and private schools. Matt took the qualifying exam for the United States Chemistry Olympic Team, given at Simmons College on April 21st and was awarded a certificate of accomplishment for his achievements. Dr. Peter Nassiff also received an award for his mentoring of Matt.

Matt will spend part of his summer at the Air Force Academy and Naval Academy in hopes of attending one of these prestigious schools.
