Help The BHS Student Council Collect Toys for Tots

Guest Post from Mrs. Carey (Student Council Adviser)

Next week, the Burlington High School Student Council will begin collecting new unwrapped toys for the Toys for Tots program run by the United States Marine Corps.  The goal of the Toys for Tots program is to help less fortunate experience the joy of the Holiday season.  As the marine website says:

(Toys for Tots plays)  an active role in the development of one of our nation’s most valuable resources – our children; to unite all members of local communities in a common cause for three months each year during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign; and to contribute to better communities in the future.

We are looking for "toys" for or items appropriate for toddlers through age 16.  All donations must be NEW items, unwrapped and no toy weapons will be accepted.  If possible, toys or items that are aimed at ages 12 and early teens would be greatly appreciated as those age groups do not usually generate many gifts.

We thank you in advance for your generosity.  Let us help spread holiday cheer by shopping for those who cannot.

If you have any questions you can contact Joyce Carey or Michael Milton.
