Welcome to BHS Ms. Driscoll - New Staff Member Profile

Ms. Driscoll

BHS English Teacher
Jessica Driscoll

Can you tell us a little bit about your background?
I am originally from Toronto, ON, Canada but I have lived in the Boston area for the past six years.  I received both my B.A. in English and my M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from Boston College.

Why did you become at teacher?

I have always known that I wanted to be a teacher.  When I was a child, I would play "school" with my friends in my room and when they weren't there, I'd resort to using my stuffed animals as students!
Throughout high school and college, I discovered that I did in fact want to work with kids for my career.  Ultimately, I became a teacher to make a positive change in students' lives

What appealed to you about Burlington High School?
The degree of collaboration within departments and the ever-present support systems available for students and staff are what most appealed to me about BHS.
Tell us something interesting about yourself.
I ran varsity track and cross-country at Boston College for five years and I would love to assist with coaching track and cross-country at BHS over the next few years!
I am also a big hockey fan and I wish all sports teams at BHS the best of luck this year!  Go Red Devils!
