Communication This Year At BHS - A Few Ways To Stay Connected

As we work at continuing to improve our methods of communication as well as the ease of access to information, we wanted to share some of the ways that you can stay on top of what is going on at BHS and also communicate with us if you need to.

Our new e-mail addresses

We have gone to GMail for our school e-mail this year and will only support our former e-mail addresses which end with for a short time. Our new staff addresses all end with and they are either the staff members last name or (in a few cases) the staff members first initial and last name preceding the email address.

The BHS Principal's Blog

We will continue to utilize the BHS Principal's Blog as a main source of communication on news from our school.  We suggest that you enter your e-mail address into the box at the top of the blog on the right hand side that says get BHS Blog Updates in your e-mail.  This will give you a daily e-mail with any new blog posts from the BHS Blog. In addition, you can unsubscribe from this option at any time.  If you happen to have a reader account, you can also subscribe to the blog by clicking on the "subscribe to" button at the top of the blog.

Our School Facebook Page

Following our school Facebook Page is another great way to stay on top of the happenings at BHS!

Our School Twitter Account

You can follow the news and updates from BHS on Twitter as well!

Our BHS Alerts Account for Emergency News and Updates

You can get the most important news from BHS by simply texting - follow bhsalerts - to 40404.  This will give you updates to breaking news and important reminders from our BHS Alerts Twitter account without ever signing on to Twitter.

We will reserve our alerts to items that impact all of our students and their families such as - Parent Conferences, School Closings, Emergency Drills, etc. If you try it out and do not like it you can simply test - off bhsalerts - to 40404.

Please let us know if you have any other ways you would like see us share all of the exciting things happening at BHS this year!

  1. Great work, Patrick! Our school also tries to make effective use of Constant Contact, a service that allows us to communicate with almost all of our stakeholders via email. The cost is quite reasonable, but there may be viable alternatives of which I am not aware. Thanks as always for sharing great information and ideas.
