A Storify Look At Day One of our BPS PD Conference

Storify is a great free tool to create a summary of an event where participants were using social media tools.  Check out my overview of Day 1 of our BPS Professional Development Conference from Twitter, YouTube and Flickr feeds.

Stay tuned for days 2 and 3!

  1. You know, I can't thank you all enough for these tremendously helpful PD tech classes. I'm finding that they have been an extension of the BHS Summer 2011 Ed Camp on Tuesdays.

I'm not a fast learner, but I'm a tenacious and persevering one. I am a bit overwhelmed at times in these classes, but I've learned not to let that discourage me. My nature is one of persevering until the goal is met. For me that means investing extra hours into the sessions at home. But, my goal is to have total success in mastering the new material. I would encourage all to do the same. It works!! I'm the most elated and satisfied when it works and when I see the product. I am very excited about using this in my classroom.

I have found it very beneficial to get together with colleagues after the sessions to practice, practice and perform the drills and tasks which we previously learned in the PD sessions. My Dept. Chair, Rita, has been a valuable aid in my learning. She readily grasps the new tech concepts and can help those of us who are having difficulty with some of the tasks. We're a great team working together for the common goal.

I am grateful to the BHS Tech Ed team who are continuing to help me excel. I appreciate their availability and tremendous support and patience.

    I'm anticipating a great year!!
