BHS Softball - What A Season! Thank You For The Memories!

Every team starts its season hoping to play as many games as possible, but only a select few can actually claim to have accomplished this feat.  Our BHS Girls Softball team in 2011 is a team that has joined that select company via their appearance in the Division 2 State Championship at Worcester State University.
In fact these seniors played as long as any seniors in history with an 11 inning effort.

Despite the 4-3 loss to Wahconah, the bar has been set at new heights for future BHS softball squads. This years Red Devils accomplished the following:

23 wins (school record)
17 consecutive wins (school record)
Middlesex League Champs
Eastern Massachusetts Champs (first time in school history)
State Championship Appearance (first in school history)

A special congratulations to all of the seniors on the team for helping turn around a program that was 7-13 two years ago and 0-19 three years ago.  There will be more great things to come for BHS softball and you have raised the bar for these future teams to reach for.  More importantly, the manner in which the BHS coaches and team conducted themselves from game one to game 26 was second to none.

Thanks for adding so much excitement to the end of the 2011 school year and for creating a number of unforgettable memories that will be included among the best in BHS sports history!
