I Google Myself Daily - You Should Too! (Part 2)

As I mentioned in my brief post yesterday about Google Alerts, this tool helps me stay up to date on things happening with BHS. It is especially useful during the summer or other times when I am disconnected for a bit from the web due to travel or vacation.

This past week, I was away for a few days and when I scanned my Google alerts for a few days I found the following item that I would have missed had it not been for Google Alerts:

Thanks to Angela Maiers for including the BHS Principal's Blog in her Top 10 Education Leadership Blogs!

  1. I am so grateful for these daily posts. Within a year, I've grown tremendously as an educator investing in this technology (all of which is free at my service). I'm on vacation here and the laptop was one of the first items on our packing list. I'm writing to you from my laptop (which sat idle in my house a year ago due to fear of using it). I learned how to connect to the hotel's wireless operating system in order to get my connections to Twitter,Facebook,,Northeaster Univ emails, etc. I can't go anywhere without being able to get my daily messages. I'm totally connected. I used to chuckle at people being on vacation with laptops, but a vacation isn't a vacation to me without my tech connections.
