Never One To Sit Back, Google Joins Super Bowl Ad Game

Like most people, I enjoy watching the Super Bowl commercials just as much as the game itself. While many people I spoke with unofficially gave Doritos the nod as the funniest ads, I was quite intrigued to see Google take a spot. Why would Google spend the money on an ad when they are already so successful?

Then I started thinking about it. Google's approach is to never sit back. They are adding new tools to the tremendous list of Google applications on a regular basis and also improving their existing applications. It is a good reminder of Jim Collin's description of companies that sustain excellence . "Greatness, it turns out, is largely a matter of conscious choice."

I always come back to education and wonder if we are satisfied with being good in too many cases? Anyway, enjoy Google's first Super Bowl ad, something tells me it won't be their last.
