Playing With Wordle - A Neat Tool For Teachers and Students

As we continue to look for technological resources to integrate at BHS to help engage students, we have begun sharing one or two useful sites each week. Here is one of the free web resources that we looked at this week. Please pass along any sites/resources that you are aware of!

Wordle is a very easy application that has been around for a while and it provides and easy way teachers or students to create word clouds. Here is a list of 20 uses for Wordle from Rodd Lucier a teacher in Ontario.

In less than 5 minutes I created a word cloud of the last 10 headlines from the BHS Blog - Check it out!

Another cool group word clouds I saw compared the inaugural addresses Presidents Obama, Bush, Clinton, and Lincoln - Check them out here.
