I look forward to driving into BHS each morning and feel fortunate to work in a school with such fine students and a tremendous staff. In fact, I look forward to talking about the endless list of exciting things happening at BHS which is only possible because of the great community support complemented by great kids (from nurturing homes) and a dedicated staff.
However, I wonder about the people that drive by BHS on Cambridge St. or drive into our facility to drop someone off or pick someone up. I also wonder about someone that spends just a little time here and never really gets a sense of our fine school.
What do these people think of our school, our students, etc... when all they see is a pile of trash (styrofoam cups) that is routinely present?
I have to admit that I thought that the tradition of putting messages up on the fence to wish athletic teams luck and to send Happy Birthday messages was unique. But lately it has been nothing more than a headache.
Maybe it's time to start a new tradition?
