Burlington Police Sponsoring National Night Out Tomorrow

Join the Burlington Police Department and Shaws Supermarket for a free family cookout on starting at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 5, at Shaws Supermarket on the corner of Cambridge and Winn streets.

There will be hamburgers, hot dogs, drinks and snacks for all who attend at no charge. A limited number of T-shirts will also be given out. Food will be provided by Shaws and cooked by Culinary Creations Catering and the Burlington Rotary Club. For fun, check out the police cars, motorcycles, bicycles, and other specialized police vehicles that will be on hand. Many of the vehicles are available courtesy of the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office. So bring your camera.

Daisy the Clown entertaining the little ones and New York Life will be there with their Child ID system. With a little luck, the weather will be nice and hot because Cambridge Street Kindercare will be bringing their dunk tank to cool people off.

Visitors can also learn about the Burlington Police Department’s successful partnership with In Control Advanced Driver Training and their crash prevention programs for all ages.
A special attraction this year will be the Reykjanesbaer Music School, which is bringing its 14-piece band all the way from Iceland to perform.
