BHS Welcomes The Class of 2013 With Orientation Program

As an annual rite of passage, we welcomed our incoming 9th grade class with an orientation program this summer. We hosted around 190 of the incoming freshmen this and we encourage them to come back over the next three days between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to walk through the building to increase their comfort level with negotiating their new school.

Kudos to our upperclassmen FLITE mentors who donated time from their final few days of vacation to help welcome the class of 2013. These upperclassmen will meet regularly with small groups of 9th graders throughout the school year to help them transition to the high school. The video clips above contain some of the overview provided by the administrators during today's session. Unfortunately, this was far less engaging than the activities led by our upperclassmen.
