Thanks to BHS Physical Education staff member (and BHS alum) Adam Gustafson for his behind the scenes tour of our locker room and fitness areas. As you will see by the photos, our building looks very much like a building approaching its 40th year. We are hopeful that we will gain support at next week's town meeting to perform the necessary work in these areas so that we have a space that out students and community can be proud of. Please visit Dr. Conti's blog for a breakdown of the costs for the renovations to the locker rooms.
Unfortunately, as it now stands the locker room area is the only glimpse that many visitors to BHS see and it does not leave a positive impression due to its current condition. In regards to the fitness area, we need siginificant upgrades to enable our students and staff to have a 21st Century Physical Education program. Please visit Dr. Conti's blog for a breakdown of the costs for the renovations to our weight room/fitness center.
We have great kids, great teachers, and a great community support. We hope to continue to make needed upgrades over time to have a facility that is truly reflective of Burlington.
