Highlights From The Final Day Of Our Foreign Language Week Celebration

A brief video of Mrs. Price's French students at MSMS today

A message from BHS Foreign Language Department Head Maria Walton summarizing Foreign Language Week -

Along with individual classroom activities and displays, our students gave impressive morning greetings, we played terrific music, invited guest speakers to our classes, visited Francis Wyman and MSMS with the French, Italian and Spanish Clubs, and decorated the school with student work.

Our contest was a great success. We were so proud of the kids as we listened to them trying to guess who/what /where...??? Perhaps we've established an annual event.

Latin and Spanish students gained insights into Sanskrit from Ms. Arthi Devarajan (pictured above). Sanskrit a classical language from which Hindi and other Indian languages are derived. Ms. Devarajan teaches in the Kaplan program in the evenings at BHS and she is currently a doctoral student at Emory University.

In this picture students are looking at the numerous items numbered in our case in the main lobby. This is the who/what/where? contest that challenged students to identify as many foreign language related pictures as possible.
