Mid-Term Exam Letter & Schedule For BHS Parents

January 7, 2009

Dear Parents and Guardians,

It is hard to believe that we are nearing the mid-point in our 2008-2009 school year. I hope that the first half of the school year has been as enjoyable for you and your child as it has been for me. Of course, with this acknowledgement comes the realization that mid-year exams are also on the horizon. For students in grades 10-12 this may be old hat, but for our 9th graders this is another first. Our 9th Grade Mentors (FLITE) are available after school each day this week to assist 9th graders with preparation. Click here for Flite Tutoring schedule.

Our mid-year exams will be given from January 20-23, 2009. Second quarter grades will close on January 23 and the second semester will begin on Monday, January 26. The exam schedule is also provided below. Please make special note of the changes in the bus schedule.

If inclement weather results in the cancellation of school, the exam schedule will be moved back and the cancelled examinations will be given when classes resume. For example, if school is cancelled on Tuesday, January 22, students will take their 1st and 2nd period exams on Wednesday, January 23, or when they return to school. In the event of a delayed opening, the first scheduled exam will be given at the time school opens. The 2nd exam will also be given that day during the time scheduled for make-up. If a delayed opening occurs, the bus schedule will also be adjusted as noted.
