Busy Weekend For BHS Wrestlers

Burlington Wrestling sent 10 wrestlers to the Eastern States Tournament in Loch Sheldrake, New York.

This is considered the toughest tournament in New York.
Burlington finished in 23rd place out of 69 teams.

Kevin Barrucci (140 lbs) finished in 6th places winning 5 matches and losing 3
Matt Sherman (130 lbs) and John Carrabino (215 lbs) went 3-2 and missed placing by 1 match.
Alex Giampapa (171 lbs) also went 3-2 and had 3 pins
John Murphy (119), Jake Sherman (125), Jason Hubbard (152 lbs), Christian Francois (160 lbs) all went 2-2
Brendan Rigby (145 lbs) 1-2 and Greg Romagna 0-2

The rest of the Burlington Wrestling team went to the Chelmsford Tournament
Pete Flemming (103) and Mike Keating (135) both went 3-2
Steve Goetz (125) and Nick Cordeiro (171) both had a pin and finished 1-2
and Tyler Matsubara went 0-2
