11 BHS Students Recognized With Boston Globe Scholastic Art Awards


Congratulations to the following art students for earning honors in this year’s annual Boston Globe Scholastic Art Awards:

Danielle Ciccone (photography), Lauren Costa (drawing), Brianna Gainley (drawing), Erika Landry (drawing), Lauren Walsh (photography), and Barbara Wye (painting) all earned Honorable Mentions in the competition. Miku Iimuro earned two Honorable Mentions for her drawings.

Brianna Gainley was also awarded two Silver Keys for her drawings. Juan Aguilar (drawing) and Tali Singer (graphic design) were also awarded Silver Keys.

Cindy Luong earned a Gold Key award for her drawing. Caitlin Abruzzo earned two Gold Key awards, for a drawing and a graphic story.

The fifteen works of these artists were selected from over five thousand entries. The Exhibition is on display in Boston’s Transportation Building through February. The awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, February 8 at John Hancock Hall in Boston.
