First BHS Health Fair Is A Huge Success

Mrs. Doughty and Mr. Jackling coordinated the BHS Health Fair.

The Burlington High School Health students held the first ever BHS Health Fair today in the lower library. Students set up displays on a variety of health related topics and provided in depth explanations and analysis of their topics. The feedback from staff and students was quite positive.

Our resident health expert, school nurse Mrs. Peach, had this to say about the work of our students at the Health Fair: "I thought the Health Fair was fantastic!!!!! I was so impressed with the students and their presentations.. I know it was a lot of work, but I hope you can continue the program in the future... Being a nurse I asked some in depth questions and they ALL had the answers.. Thanks and thumbs up to you all. I was very proud to be a part of BHS today."
BHS staff member Mrs. Eaton also praised the effort of both staff and students:
"I had a chance to attend the fair for about 20 minutes this morning. As I walked through, I felt enormously proud of the entire event and what it said about our BHS community. The two of you obviously instilled great enthusiasm into your students. The visual displays were spectacular, but even more impressive, the students orally presented a wealth of information with great poise and dignity. They had done their research thoroughly. A number of them showed great passion in wanting to warn their fellow students about potential health pitfalls. - Please send my congratualtions and thanks to your students. But most of all, I want to thank both of you for your dedication to our students and their overall health. "
